Lady: Is that a Clydesdale?
Me: No, she's a Percheron.
Lady: What's that?
Me: It's a French breed of draft horse.
Lady: Oh. So can you ride these horses?
Me: Yea, if they're trained to be ridden.
Lady: So that's like a certain breed or something, right? Like the horses that pull stuff.
Oh gee. I get that one ALL the time. I have a black Percheron mare. Nine people out of Ten think that all draft horses are Budweiser/Clydesdales. NOT just Clydesdales, but Budweiser/Cludesdales.
