Me: Yes, just stay on the sidewalk.
Lady: Are you sure?
Me: Yes, just stay on the sidewalk.
Lady: It won't like bite me or anything, will it?
Me: No.
Lady #2: Can I pet it?
Me: Yes, just stay on the sidewalk.
Lady #2: What does that mean?
Me: Yes, you can pet her.  Just stay on the sidewalk.
Lady #3: What did she just ask you?
Me: If she can pet the horse.
Lady #3: What did you tell her?
Me: Yes, just stay on the sidewalk.
Lady #2: So I can stand right here and pet it as long as I'm not in front of it right?
Me: Yes, you can pet her as long as you're on the sidewalk
